Crouch comes home

At the age of 28, Peter Crouch has already played for five different clubs - including two spells at Portsmouth before returning to Spurs in July.

But now he feels ready to settle at the club where he started out as a junior in 1997 and is confident that the potential in the current Spurs squad will provide an exciting future, where he can play a major role.

"Coming here certainly feels different to any other club I have been at," he says. "It's such a special place and I believe I can settle here for the rest of my career.

"Everything about Tottenham feels like a family and there's a mood that everyone is working towards something big. It's a unity that few Premier League outfits can match."

Speaking in the latest issue of hotspur magazine, Peter describes it as 'a sense of coming home' and adds: "I have come here because I believe we can win everything...you can see the quality and strength of this team - it's prolific."

And Crouchy is delighted to be working again with Harry Redknapp.

"He always seems to get the best out of me. He has confidence in me and a lot of belief in my ability. When you have that as a footballer it can mean everything."
